My 2017 Highlights

I can officially say that is year was the most messed up, draining and weird adventure
of my lifetime so far. Looking back at it, it feels more like a series of novels rather than just a chapter of one. Since this little blog is literally my own mind bubble, I thought I would share some of my highlights of the past year with you angels.

1) One of my closest friends beating cancer.
Yep, that's right.
My absolute star of a best mate survived cancer earlier on
this year, whilst sitting his GCSE exams. It majorly blows my mind how someone so young can
be so strong and inspiring whilst having faught for his life.
Luckily, he is back strong and happy as ever, doing numerous amazing fundraisers to help beautiful causes.

2) Leaving secondary school and starting college
This point obviously isn't as important to me a the first, but I must admit that I absolutely HATED
secondary school life. I know there are millions of people who have experiences
worse school moments than I did but in all honesty, high school just wasn't for me.
Comparing the present K to 7 months ago K, I am like a completely new persona.
My confidence has grown rapidly, so has my stability and I have developed a way of viewing
life through 'rose tinted glasses'. An example of this is getting my cartildge
pierced. Despite that not being big thing for many, i have a HUGE fear of needles so the fact I went through with it symbolised a whole lot for me.

3) Growing closer to my best friends
Anyone that knows me will tell you I utterly adore all of my friends.
One of the most meaningful parts of 2017 is definitely growing  even closer to them than I previously was, as well as meeting new incredible people in my life.

4) Seeing Lana Del Rey live
And lastly, seeing one of my life long idols perform in real life.
Lana absolutely stunned me- such a beautiful angel with a truly angelic voice.
She lived up to her very high expectations.

2017 has been a true roller coaster.
The first half of the year was incredibly challenging for me, yet the second half managed to outweigh
some of the negatives.
I cannot thank my friends and parents enough for supporting me through everything,
I wouldn't have been able to do half as much as I have without them.

I wish you all the best 2018 possible and that many positives come your way.
Happy new year,

K x
